FREE DINOSAUR EXHIBITS & ENRICHMENTS
Moments In Time The Age of the Dinosaurs opens to the public on weekends Saturday March 26 and runs through May 8. This is our 8th year doing this 3500 square foot exhibit with our partners Harrison County Parks & Recreation. Admission is free. Public hours are Saturdays & Sundays noon to 6pm. Weekdays are for school field trips and enrichments taught by Harrison Parks staff. The location is 43 Recreation Drive, Clarksburg, WV (Rt. 19S) in the Harrison Parks Building Complex. The exhibit features our:
13 feet tall Stegodon skeleton
13 feet tall Camarasaurus leg
6 foot long Super Croc skull (Deinosuchus)
7 foot long Triceratops skull
30 foot long Tinker the juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton
40 foot long mosasaur skeleton
8 feet tall WV State Fossil, Megalonyx jeffersonii sloth skeleton
15 foot long Mosasaur skeleton
2 6 foot long prehistoric turtle skeletons
2 adult size Trex skulls
6 foot wide Megalodon shark jaws
Dozens of other dinosaur skulls, teeth, bones, horns & spikes
Dozens of other prehistoric mammal skulls
Dozens of authentic fossils including a large display of West Virginia fossils.
There are interactive activities for kids including digging for real fossils.
A large prehistoric playground of giant bones is also available outside.
Free fossil & Minerals ID days are Sundays.
